Come Experience Camp Victory

Programs & Activities:
Mental Health and Well-Being

At Camp Victory Inc., our programs promote healing and connection through nature and outdoor activities. Designed for Veterans and First Responders, our offerings create a team environment and supportive community. From culinary skills and woodworking to nature walks and archery hunts, our activities provide hands-on experiences that empower Veterans with practical skills and meaningful connections.

We also offer group discussions, one-on-one talks, and counseling for additional support. New courses are being continually developed. In addition to our programs, Camp Victory provides services for Unit and family reunions, EMS, Fire, and Police events to weddings, birthdays, and meetings, and more – offering Veterans a space to celebrate and connect with loved ones. Current Programs at Camp Victory

  • Culinary basics, food around the fire, and team feed taught by a trained chef and former restaurant owner. We will go over basic recipes and meal balance and then apply it by cooking for the rest of the Veterans. It will be done in small groups and each group will rotate through a meal preparation and service. There will be ideas shared, ingredients, preparations, and Storage for the menu we create.
  • Woodworking and bandsaw. A variety of different projects where the Veterans can get hands-on experience and a reminder they can take home with them to put on display.
  • Nature walk. Fresh air and exercise at the Veterans pace. An opportunity to for internal reflection and quiet. Trails are groomed and wheelchair accessible. Close to 4 miles of groomed trails.
  • Plant, Herb, and Mushroom identification. Veterans go out into nature to identify different plants, herbs, and mushrooms when in season. Veterans have an opportunity to cook and work with what they find.
  • Bee Keeping.
  • Resume writing and interviewing techniques. An opportunity to work with a professional in the field on creating a better resume in the new digital age. Interviewing techniques to help them get the job and resources to help the Veterans in need help find local programs and community connections to answer question about what they qualify for and job search resources.
  • Veterans learn how to tap the tree, collect sap, cook, and bottle the syrup. Then they take it home with them when they leave the camp, if any is left after the pancake and French toast breakfast days. (Sugarbush is a seasonal class and will only be available in the beginning of the year)
  • Food plots. For our hunting Veterans and Veterans looking for some farming. Experienced farmers with food plot experience will cover the seeds, soil, and grains that go into the food plot. They will learn about the timing for when to plant as well as the equipment needed for a successful food plot. They will learn which is preferred by deer and turkey, as well as small game applications.
  • Tree planting. Veterans will learn about choices for wetland and dryland. They also learn about hardwoods, conifers, and shrubs and berries.
  • Annual Veterans Archery hunts. 4 total hunts starting on Wednesday and going through Saturday morning. Veterans will zero their bows or crossbows for better hunting. Meals will be included, as well as Comradery and healing. Both Handicapped accessible ground blinds and tree stands for more physically capable Veterans are available. The hunts will be broken down into categories as follows: Vietnam Veterans, Veterans with purple hearts, Wisconsin Combat Veterans, Persian Gulf/Operation Iraqi freedom (OIF)/Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Hunts will only be available during applicable hunting seasons. Starting in October and running through Mid-November.
  • Unit/squad/team reunions will also be available for Veterans who are looking to reconnect with their long-lost brothers or the brothers they talked to last night.
  • Group discussions and one on one talks will be available to all Veterans who are interested. A counselor will be available for those interested.

*Classes are designed to run for two hours with breaks in-between. More classes will be available as instructors become available.

Course schedules will be handed out to Veterans upon arrival with most being optional but some being compulsory.

  • Fishpond management
  • Butterfly habitat
  • Bird watching
  • Weapons zeroing techniques
  • Fieldcraft
  • Beginners Mycology
  • Poultry management

Bible Study

There will be a nightly Bible study for those interested.
